Parker Ranch’s July 4th Rodeo
Waimea, Island of Hawai‘i – Parker Ranch proudly announces the 62nd Annual July 4th Rodeo and Horse Races, returning to the Parker Ranch Rodeo Arena in Waimea on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
A cherished Waimea tradition for more than six decades, the annual rodeo celebrates the enduring legacy of Hawaii’s paniolo and the deep-rooted ranching culture that continues to shape the community today. From the thunder of hooves to the roar of the crowd, the arena comes alive with fast-paced competition, local pride, and generations of ranching tradition. Spectators can look forward to crowd-favorite events including Horse Races, Ranch Mugging, Team Roping, Poʻo Wai U, and more.

As part of the annual celebration, Parker Ranch honors individuals whose dedication and contributions have left a lasting impact on the ranch and the Waimea community. This year, Parker Ranch proudly recognizes three beloved retirees: Paula DeSilva, Albert Matsuoka, and Dennis Dean.
Building on last year’s success, jumbo screens will again be featured in the arena to give spectators an even closer view of the action with live coverage, replays, and interviews with our paniolo. This enhanced experience is made possible through the generous support of the Hawaiian Council.
Gates open at 7:30 a.m., with the grand entry beginning at 9:00 a.m. In addition to the rodeo action, attendees can enjoy local food and craft vendors, keiki activities, and commemorative memorabilia available at the Parker Ranch merchandise booth.
New this year, the celebration will continue beyond the rodeo with live music from the Lim Ohana, Kalapana Awa Band, and Ekolu from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to stay and enjoy the festivities through the evening.
Advance tickets are available for $25, with $20 Kamaʻāina presale tickets offered at the Puuopelu Historic Home, Kamuela Hardwoods, Paniolo Preservation Society, and Waimea Butcher Shop. Online tickets are available for $25, plus applicable fees and taxes. Tickets purchased at the gate on event day will be $30. Keiki 12 and under are free.
Rain or shine, the paniolo will ride. This is a family-friendly event, and for the comfort and safety of all guests and animals, pets and outside alcohol are prohibited. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This event is made possible through the support of our valued partners and sponsors. A special mahalo to our Grand Champion Sponsor, Stanford Carr Development, whose generous support helps bring this year’s rodeo to life.

The rodeo grounds are located at 67-1349 Ala Ohia Street, just off Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190) in Waimea. The arena is approximately 40 miles from Kona International Airport and 60 miles from Hilo International Airport.
