PARKER RANCH HISTORIC HOMES WELCOMES ARTISTS IN FEBRUARY TO HONOR CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

Parker Ranch, celebrating its 160th anniversary throughout 2007, once again welcomes stunning Oriental art by Shirley Pu Wills and others throughout the month of February to the gallery at Puuopelu Historic Home in Waimea.

Pu Wills and other notable Big Island and Asian artists will display their stunning pieces in recognition of Waimea’s Annual Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival slated for Saturday, February 3, 2007.

At Puuopelu on Cherry Blossom Festival day, in addition to striking art displays, there will also be music, Kimono displays and traditional Japanese tea ceremonies to round out the day’s activities.

Admission to the Historic Homes and the Parker Ranch Visitor Center and Museum are free on February 3.
