Waimea A Big Island Treasure by Linda Ching. An exclusive journey through the beautiful Paniolo town of Waimea is portrayed in this unique hard softcover book of photos by this award winning author.

“Waimea, A Big Island Treasure” is a visual celebration of a special part of Hawaii, its unique history and vivid portrayal of a colorful legacy, which grew from it. A paniolo culture flourishes Hawaiian style in the rolling green hills and ranchland beauty of Waimea. Linda Ching’s lens captures the essence of this island treasure and the rough and ready cowboy spirit that lives on through its keikis. Lynn Cook writes of the romantic Parker Ranch history and about own number one cowboy in the world, Ikua Purdy.

In keeping with Aloha Week Festival’s 60th anniversary recognition of the Hawaiian cowboy, this soft cover edition will be made available September 1, 2006. A hardcover limited edition, which was offered to private sponsors, was sold out within weeks last year.
