Visit Parker Ranch Store
At the Parker Ranch Store in Parker Ranch Center in Waimea, shoppers can find the Big Island’s largest selection of styles and sizes for paniolo (cowboy) wear.
The store is stocked with Parker Ranch memorabilia, from coffee mugs and glassware to books and videos. The store has brewed considerable excitement with its own private labels of island-grown coffee. Spicing up the product line is a tasty offering of private-label beef jerky.
CELEBRATING THE YEAR OF THE PANIOLO SATURDAY, AUGUST 30 and SUNDAY, AUGUST 31, 2008
The 34th Annual Parker Ranch Round-Up Club Rodeo will lasso in two days of rodeo events on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Parker Ranch Rodeo Arena in Waimea.
The action-packed weekend is held annually as a fundraiser to provide scholarships for school-age children of Parker Ranch employees. This year, the event joins all of Hawaii in its celebration of 2008 as The Year of the Paniolo.

Meet the Talent Behind Favored Island Products
For several upcoming Fridays and/or Saturdays, the Parker Ranch Store will host unique island craft and/or product demonstrations. The demonstrations, free to the public, will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and will allow attendees to see, touch, feel, smell or taste a variety of works ranging from honey to herbal soaps and photos to Hawaiian-designed tees.
August 22 & 23, 2008 Michal McClure the author and photographer of “Hawaiian Cowboys” will be on hand to sign his newly released book.
It is a photographic journal that provides the rich cultural and spiritual history of the Paniolo. We are privileged to have him travel from his home in Illinois, to share with us his pictorial essay. The Parker Ranch Store will be host from 3-6pm, Friday August 22nd and also again on Saturday August 23rd from 12pm – 3pm. Michal McClure has traveled extensively throughout his life, capturing cultures, people, and nature through the lens of a camera. Partnering with Dr. Billy Bergin both men have produced a must have collector’s item. Jane Hanano from Lavender-n-things will be visiting us from her farm right here in Waimea town to demonstrate her lovely lavender lotions and beauty products.
