The West Hawaii Plein Air Painters return to Parker Ranch Historic Homes’ Puuopelu Gallery from May 1 through June 30, 2008. Gallery hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Saturday.
The public is invited to meet the artists at a reception with refreshments on Saturday, May 24, 2008 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Puuopelu Gallery.
Seven artists are participating in the May-June show; Bob Appleman, Barbara Clay, Alice Hughes, Ria Kennedy, Irina Place, Richard Rochkovsky and Lynn Wolfe. Their art, painted during weekly outings, spans many subjects, mediums and painting styles. Many of the artists have varied and unique styles that truly make this an exciting show to view. All of the works in the show are available for sale.
The West Hawaii Plein Air Painters are an informal group of artists who meet to paint outside (“plein air”) and critique each other’s work. Painters work in a variety of media including watercolors, oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolor pencils, ink, etc. and cover a wide range of experience levels.
